Finding Grace #450

You may have seen the acronym GRACE as God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Grace is also God’s unmerited favor, or God doing for us what we cannot.

I find grace overflowing with God’s love, joy, peace, blessings, mercy, power, provision, protection, and wisdom. Thank You, Jesus!

Where did I find God’s love and favor—His abundant grace—this week?!

This week was a mix of busyness and rest!

On Monday, I was off for Columbus Day. This is the one holiday I have off that Lydia does not! I rested and caught up on some little things around the house. I read a book, exercised, and just had a relaxing day alone! It was great to reset!

The weather this week was all over the place. We had our first hard frost, but only on one day. The rest of the week warmed up again! Then, on Friday, it rained all afternoon. I was happy it wasn’t snow, however! 😉 The red maple trees are absolutely stunning, and so are the yellows and orange trees! This season has been especially beautiful!

Lydia had off school on Thursday and Friday. She went to a state youth convention held for churches across the state. Our church hosted, and Lydia got home today. She learned more about Jesus and had some adventures with her friends! I’m sure she will sleep well tonight!

While Lydia was away, I left work early for an appointment an hour out of town. It was in Detroit Lakes, MN, and it went well. The appointment didn’t last long, so I had some extra time to explore some shops downtown. I found an indie bookstore, a food co-op, a vintage resale store, and a home goods store. I will definitely go back!

Today, I was on-call and needed to go to work. After that, I went to Brewhalla to look around before picking up Lydia from church. I bought some cheeses and some beauty products. The rest of the day, I made a little food and made some calls. Now, we are watching a movie!

These are only a few examples, but God’s grace never runs out!

There’s grace in every situation—we just need to look for it. God promises if we seek Him, we will find Him (see Jeremiah 29:13)!
